eroFame 2011 in Hanover a great triumph

The international trade convention eroFame has added a new chapter to its young history of success. After the applauded debut in Berlin-Potsdam last year, the second instalment of the trade fair that caters only and exclusively to the needs and wants of the trade and industry delivered on its promise and turned out a great success for everybody. With great emphasis on the pure b2b concept, eroFame took place on the world’s biggest fairgrounds in Hanover this time. Four attractive fair halls underneath a breathtaking wooden roof structure were the venue for more than 110 renowned exhibitors from all over the world to present their products to roughly 2850 international visitors. Both exhibitors and visitors were very pleased with the new eroFame location, the design of the stands inside the sunlit fair halls, and also with the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, as it allowed everybody to do business and to have sales and counseling conversations with partners, clients, and potential future collaborators. Many exhibitors launched their latest novelties and brand new product lines at eroFame. The quality of the exhibiting companies was virtually overwhelming, as was the number of product releases in the various product categories at eroFame. It is safe to say that nobody who came to Hanover left there disappointed. After the trade convention, the exhibitors summed eroFame 2011 up as a positive experience: they did great business, expanded on existing business relationships, and got in touch with new clients.

After all, this was something of a crucible – trying to establish eroFame as a b2b trade convention that stands on its own two feet, independent of the location and the Venus trade fair in Berlin. I am confident that we mastered this challenge, and that eroFame is now on track to become the most important European b2b event for the erotic industry, and I am not the only one. I hope we’ll meet again in the first week of October 2012. Talking about which: We are extremely proud to announce that more than 1,000 square metres of exhibition space for next year have already been booked – and most reservations were made before the 2011 eroFame had even ended. I, for one, take that as a clear sign that eroFame is on the right track,” says Wieland Hofmeister, managing director of Mediatainment Publishing eroFame GmbH.

This year’s eroFame Oktoberfest will definitely go down in the history of the event. In the Munich Hall on the fairgrounds, more than 1100 guests partied in the rustic Bavarian atmosphere until the sun came up. Free beer and great music made for a fantastic evening and had more than one member of the industry shake a leg. “The best b2b party in years” was the unequivocal opinion of most guests.

During eroFame 2011 in Hanover, numerous companies and personalities from the international erotic industry received the EAN EROTIXXX award for their work, their ideas, their innovations, and their products.
